The 2015 Nissan Leaf continues to be one of the few all-electric cars that is as affordable as an ordinary car with a combustion engine.

The 2015 Nissan Leaf has the best range of any entry-level electric vehicle on today's market, and it's affordable to boot! Every Leaf comes with an 80kw (107hp and 187 lb-ft. of torque) motor driving the front wheels through a single-speed reduction gear transmission. The 24- kilowatt/hour lithium-ion battery provides power for up to 84 miles of driving in normal use. With the 6.6kw onboard charger, standard on all but the Leaf S, you can be fully charged in four hours from any 240-volt outlet. With the Quick Charge Port (standard on the SL trim, optional otherwise) you can get an 80% charge in just 30 minutes from a dedicated quick charge station.  

The 2015 Leaf is available in three trim levels: S, SV, and SL. The Leaf S features proximity entry, power everything, AC, heated seats, tilt steering, a rearview camera, touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth streaming, USB iPod input, CD player, and satellite radio. The S makes do with a 3.6kw charger, lacking the 6.6kw charger and Quick Charge Port, which are optional. The SV trim includes the higher-kilowatt charger as standard equipment, plus 17" alloy wheels, cruise control, and an upgraded touchscreen interface with GPS and Pandora radio. The Quick Charge Port is still optional on the Leaf SV, though this trim comes with fog lights and LED headlights. The Leaf SL adds the Quick Charge Port as standard as well as leather upholstery and a solar panel on the rear spoiler. SV and SL models have a Premium Package available, which brings a Bose stereo system and a 360-degree view camera for parking.
